Walk to End Alzheimer's is Moving Forward in 2020

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is moving forward in 2020.

To ensure the safety of all involved, a large gathering will not be held. Instead, the Walk will be everywhere — on every street, trail and track!

On Walk day, participants will gather online for the Opening and Promise Garden Ceremony and then walk on their own, with family or their team in a location of their choice. A drive-through Promise Garden will also be planted in the community on event day to raise awareness about the many reasons we Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

There will be some new, exciting tools available to enhance the Walk experience! Participants may download the Walk to End Alzheimer’s mobile app to track their steps and share their progress on social media.

They can also visit the new, interactive “Mainstage” online to share stories and photos, gather resources and learn about the Alzheimer’s Association.

Each registered participant will receive five Walk to End Alzheimer’s yard flags in the mail to help them raise awareness in their neighborhoods. Flags can be displayed in the yard or a window and participants are encouraged to carry them while walking on event day.

As always, each participant who donates or raises at least $100 will receive a 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s t-shirt.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s remains community driven, led by local volunteers and featuring local speakers and families affected by the disease. Every dollar raised provides 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

Register today to help the people in your community and to keep up-to-date with your local Walk: alzwa.org/walk or 1.800.272.3900
