KSQM is gearing up in our spurs for our annual "Jail & Bail" on-air fund drive (June 10 thru 19) and our K-Squad deputies have been busy rounding up some very shady characters. We are hopeful that these nefarious ne'er-do-wells have some very generous supporters, so they will be released quickly.
On a serious note, all of the folks involved in the "Jail & Bail" will be generously donating their time (and reputation) to help support your favorite, volunteer powered community Radio, KSQM 91.5FM. Without you and your monetary support, we would not be here. KSQM is a Non-Profit 501(c)3, but we pay the bills like every other business. So, pick out a favorite offender, make sure you call, mail, or go on-line, and help keep Sequim safe from Rowdy Sequimite Ruffians and full of the Best Music Ever Made!
Would you like yourself, your business or your organization to be featured on-air during our next on-air drive in June, 2024? Well here is a FUN way to do it! It was a tad bit humbling, but entertaining for our detainees last year. So…KSQM is now busy recruiting volunteer desperadoes again for this June 10th -19th fundraiser! Are you (or do you know) a Sequim Outlaw to nominate…?
Our Top Detainees with the highest bail amounts will have a mug shot in the Gazette prior to their detention. Detainees should set a goal for their own bail amount and will schedule their detention times with the K-Squad Posse.
Who-Infamous Outlaws, Scofflaws and Ne’er-Do-Wells for various crimes resulting in charges for Public Nuisance
What-Notorious Desperados will be detained (with their consent) by the K-Squad Posse for KSQM fundraising purposes
Where-In the KSQM Hoosegow at 609 W. Washington St. Suite #17. Home or Business Detention can be negotiated with the magistrate.
When-During KSQM’s Spring Fund Drive June 10th-June 19th 2024 for a maximum 2 hour sentence
Why-This is a FUN FUN FUN fund raising effort for KSQM and charges are for amusement purposes only
Detainees can expect that they will be brought before the Magistrate live on-air for the charges and bail amount to be read & the video will be posted on Facebook. Detainees may be accompanied by a representative to attest to their character in hopes of a decrease (or increase in their bail). Then, off-air (over in the KSQM Clink) - they will be provided bread & water and a phone (to try and raise their bail). Details and tools for Bail Raising strategies will be provided well ahead of their detention time.
Potential Volunteer Detainees or their accusers should reach out to Tama at Office@KSQMfm.COM or call KSQM 360.681.0000.
