REVERSE MORTGAGES
A reverse mortgage is a mortgage loan, secured by home owners primary residence that enables the borrowers to a portion of the homes value based on the age of the youngest borrower, the appraised value of the home and the expected rate and required no monthly mortgage payment. The FHA Home Equity Conversion Mortgage has a minimum participation age of 62, there are proprietary reverse mortgage loans available for those as young as age 55 depending on State of residence.
